Rita Zeinstejer's 'Podcasting Revolution' presentation
Submitted by bcgstanley on Sun, 2006-10-01 18:47Hi everyone,
and apologies for cross-posting
I've now uploaded the mp3 files for Rita's podcasting presentation at the FAAPI Congress in Rosario on September 23rd.
It's a very well-researched and informative presentation (well done there, Rita) and I was honoured that she asked me to record something for the end (I must admit it's a little strange hearing yourself speaking on a recording to an audience at a conference you were never at! But that's the power of podcasting I guess)
I loved the introduction in particular, when Rita speaks about students carrying their gadgets like tentacles, and then in most educational environments, teachers chop them off and don't let them use their mp3 players, mobile phones, etc in class, when they can be really powerful tools.

" What's Up?" is an ESL magazine online, and it publishes writing of ESL students at Arizona Western College. It is an ongoing project where any ESL student may have one of his/her writings from an ESL class published online. It encourages students to write and to recognize the value of their writing. The session will show the magazine and provide a handout about the format for making such a magazine.
