Engrade is an open-source, user-friendly online gradebook designed for K-12 classes in the United States but adaptable to university and overseas settings.  The presenter will demonstrate how to create an account; how to create a class and select appropriate settings; how to enter grades in the gradebook; how to post attendance; how to use the calendar to maintain a semester- or year-long record of homework assignments; and how to give students access to their records.  A related discussion on the ethics of using online gradebooks to communicate secondary school students' grades directly to their parents is posted on the forum at http://www.webheadsinaction.org/node/209.
